Citinite x Luckyme Tonight!!

eflyer_art_2

If you are fortunate enough to live in London and you are willing to pull a sicky tomorrow, there is a night well worthy of your attention going on in deepest darkest Vauxhal tonight.

Glasgow’s Luckyme and Citinite are hosting a party at Lightbox, the venue which excels itself in soundsystem, lightshows and lazers (and unfortunately bar prices).

Here comes the copy and paste

Performing live at the London party on the 12th November are:
Dâm-Funk: almost single-handedly reinvigorating funk with his LA-based parties and “modern funk” sound, Dâm-Funk has made a massive impact with his releases on Stones Throw, and his debut album is due on October 20. Much sought-after for his remix work, Dâm-Funk will make his Citinite debut in the spring of 2010, launching his Mynk Rychardz project.

Rustie: building his reputation on Glasgow-based labels Stuff Records and Wireblock, as well with his remixes for the likes of Hyperdub, Rustie is taking his music to the next level with an album due on Warp Records. Add his ‘Bad Science’ EP currently out on Wireblock and a forthcoming release for LuckyMe, and Rustie looks set to dominate 2010.

Jimmy Edgar: since his early releases on Warp, Jimmy has become famous for a multi-faceted sound that combines sexually charged heat with a finely-crafted sound aesthetic. His ‘Her Bad Habit’ EP on Citinite saw him break out into funk territory and a new EP is in the works. Also worth checking are a number of new releases, including Funktion of Your Love on Items&Things.

Gosub: this Miami-based master of electro released his first album in seven years on Citinite and it was described then as “the electro album of the year” by DJ Magazine’s Richard Brophy. Two new EPs are due soon on the label and will feature remixes by supporters of his music, Kode9 and Dâm-Funk. His live shows put most electro artists actual releases to shame.

See you there if you have an ounce of sense.
